Oggi è trapelata la notizia dala rivista Star Magazine, Sarah è al quinto mese di gravidanza e che sarà una bambina!

Sembra che Sarah sia molto eccitata all'idea e che stia preparando una nursery nell' appartemento newyorkese a TriBeca, sarà una camera sofisticata, niente di frivolo e principesco.

Expectant celebrity parents, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr., will be having a baby girl. Star Magazine, which is the first to bring the matter to public’s notice, reports the actress has been overheard excitedly talking about her unborn daughter on the New York City set of her new TV series "The Wonderful Maladys."

"She’s been letting little details slip here and there," a source who happens to be on the set testifies. Besides, Star Magazine also reports that gossips are claiming the pregnant actress has "been spending her free time planning the nursery" in the TriBeca apartment she shares with Freddie. Furthermore, it is said "Sarah wants the room to look sophisticated, so nothing too frilly or princessy. She’s been shopping for earth tones to mix with plum or magenta accents."

No evidence has been provided to support the baby’s sex claim though. In the meantime, there is still no denial nor confirmation from both Sarah and Freddie.

Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr. first met during the filming of the 1997 teen horror film "I Know What You Did Last Summer." However, it was not until three years later that they began dating. They were engaged in April 2001 and married in Mexico on September 1, 2002. News of them expecting their first baby was exposed by the media early last month.

Is it a good idea for Sarah Michelle Gellar to do a Buffy the Vampire Slayer movie ? There are rumors that she may be in talks to bring it to the big screen—finally ! But is it a good move for her career ?

"Not gonna happen," Joss Whedon told reporters in Hollywood last week. "Not gonna happen. Until I...make a public announcement myself that it’s going to happen. Never believe anything."

That Whedon—about as sunny as the Hellmouth itself, isn’t he ? As for Sarah Michelle Gellar’s career, I have a source who has seen the script for her next project...

Based on the details, the pregnant Gellar is about to make a brilliant move. Preproduction has begun on an upcoming HBO series called The Wonderful Maladys.

Think Matthew Fox’s Party of Five meets Gwyneth Paltrow in The Royal Tenenbaums : Gellar is part of a tight band of brilliant, eccentric adult siblings who lost their parents early in life...yadda, yadda yadda, dramedy ensues. Sci-fi it ain’t, but then again, Gellar’s dweeb fan base may not be as big as you think.

"A lot of fans were disappointed that she didn’t do the final episodes of [Buffy spinoff] Angel," talent manager Marrissa O’Leary tells me. "It’s the reason why I think it’s safe for her to try another genre, and why I don’t think she’ll be alienating sci-fi fans for doing this."

Besides, Gellar really shouldn’t be doing a ton of movies, O’Leary muses.

"If she does features," she says, "people would theoretically want her to be the lead. But if the film doesn’t work, she would get blamed."

Ergo, Kristin Bell is being very smart by shunning lead roles and sticking with supporting parts like she did with Forgetting Sarah Marshall.

"If that had tanked, it wouldn’t have been her fault, but there are still plenty of people who would see that film because she’s in it," O’Leary explains.

And lastly, the Maladys part Gellar has selected—Alice, a bookish sort who hangs out in coffee shops and who is the only single person in her family—is a genius move.

"She doesn’t play stupid well," O’Leary says.

Early review of The Wonderful Maladys (HBO)

After Mischa Barton, it’s SMG’s time to make her comeback and I am going to start right away with the punchline, this is the best thing I read in a long time.

The Maladys are a fucked-up family that lost everything before the game had even started when both their parents died as they were young, leaving them with nothing. Alice, played by Sarah Michelle Gellar found refuge into alcohol and aggressiveness. Mary, played by Molly Parker from Swingtown, found refuge into her work as a therapist even though not being able to follow advices she gives to her clients. The last one, Neil found refuge into, well, weirdness.

I’ve always been a fan of dramedy, even the not so good ones (I won’t tattle) and it’s why I was delighted by The Wondeful Maladys script. Some scenes (see at the end), literally made me laugh out loud, and it wasn’t the dumb funny that I sometimes laugh at, it was the smart and edgy funny that you can’t find these days on TV (you can look, you won’t find). The thing that had me worried was how they were going to deal with the death thing and I was once again really surprised at how good they were. Some scenes simply were heart-breaking, and the way it made move the storyline was amazing. I just wish everyone could read how brilliant this is and shed at a tear at the Maladys.

It was also amazing to discover the characters, especially Alice (SMG), her obvious issues and her self-hate that you really only discover a few pages before the end in a sex scene (SMG fans sure aren’t going to miss it) that was terribly hard to read and yet so fantastic. Mary, the oldest sister and the only one that looks a bit sane (she only looks that way) is married to a not so nice person and confronted to dilemmas such as : "if my husband asked me to buy me lesbian porn but without any black girls, does that make him racist ? ". Next comes Neil, that tells during a family therapy session one of the dirtiest story ever told also sounds fascinating, but the pilot doesn’t center much on his story. When all your characters are screw-ups, it becomes too easy to be shallow but TWM focuses on what made them who they are, their personalities, their deepest fears and much more and when you think about it, that’s what’s interesting about them.

I still don’t really know what The Wonderful Maladys is about, maybe about making their lives better, but honestly, I couldn’t care less about what that show is about because it’s still one of the best writing I’ve read in years and I’m going to watch it anyway.

Cast includes Nate Corddry as Neil Malady, Sarah Michelle Gellar as Alice Malady, Zak Orth as Charles (Mary’s husband), Molly Parker as Mary Malady, Adam Scott as Doug (Alice’s ex).

I’m not really allowed to do that, but here is a dialogue from the pilot.

Oggi la notizia sta facendo il giro di tutto il Buffyverse, una persona molto stretta alla coppia ha dichiarato alla rivista americana PEOPLE che Sarah e Freddie stanno aspettando il loro primo figlio, proprio così la nostra Sarah è incinta.

Non sappiamo ancora se è vero perchè non ha ancora confermato lei stessa.

Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr. are expecting their first child together, a source close to the couple confirms exclusively to PEOPLE. "They're very excited," says the source, adding that the actress, 31, is due in the fall.

Gellar, who has been married to Prinze, 33, for six years, will next shoot the HBO pilot The Wonderful Maladays, for which she serves as an executive producer. Prinze recently shot the comedy pilot No Heroics for ABC.

"Michelle is busy with movie projects at the moment but she is excited about the idea. Buffy still has a huge fan-base so this is a movie that already has an audience.

"Michelle is a shrewd businesswoman so the chances are this will happen at some point."

Sembra che Sarah tornerà in televisione per un progetto di Charles Randolph per la HBO, THE WONDERFUL MALADYS narra le turbolente vicende di 3 adulti che hanno perso da giovani i loro genitori.
Randholp descrive il personaggio della Gellar come "una sorta di immaturità zelante", come un "drogato" sulle cose da fare.

Sarah Michelle Gellar is eyeing a return to television with a half-hour project set up at HBO from screenwriter Charles Randolph.

Set in Gotham, "The Wonderful Maladys" ensembler revolves around the dysfunctional lives of three adult siblings who lost their parents at a young age.

Randolph described Gellar’s character as having "a kind of zealous immaturity — like a drug addict with a to-do list."

Randolph wrote the script on spec last year with Gellar and HBO in mind. HBO recently bought the script and is aiming to shoot the single-camera pilot early next year. Gellar and Randolph will serve as exec producers should the project go forward, along with Brillstein Entertainment Partners.

"We’re on a fast track," said Brillstein CEO Jon Liebman.

Gellar has focused on features since "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" ended its seven-year run in 2003. She called the chance to do a series with Randolph, Brillstein and HBO "a terrific next chapter for me."

Randolph’s feature credits include 2003’s "The Life of David Gale" and 2005’s "The Interpreter." At present he’s writing "Gucci," for helmer Ridley Scott and Fox 2000.

Gellar and Randolph are repped by Brillstein Entertainment Partners.

PL: Given that we have yet to settle on a story for this new hybrid movie, I don’t really know which characters will appear in it. It would be fun to do something with the Shredder, but I am also excited about the possibility of creating some new characters for the movie.
MTV: Are there any actors who come to mind when thinking about potential characters in the film?
PL: I really liked the way Elias Koteas and Judith Hoag brought Casey and April to life in the first live-action movie — they each did a fantastic job. Unfortunately, I think they might be a little too old to play these characters now (even if they wanted to, and I have no idea if they would). However, I think Chris Evans and Sarah Michelle Gellar did wonderful work voicing the Casey and April characters in the recent CGI “TMNT” movie, and I think it would be really cool if we could get them to reprise those roles, but this time “in the flesh.” I think that might be the first time something like that has happened.

The recent success of Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog's internet release and the leaking of Buffy: The Animated Series has inspired us Buffy fans to want MORE Buffy. We want Buffy back in live action and we've got a plan.In fact, we've got a theory! We're looking to write a tiered list of proposals to FOX backed by carefully researched interest in the Buffy franchise. This proposal will cite the financial success of Buffy franchise (DVD sales, merchandise, Season 8 comics), the strength of the Buffy online fandom and the opportunities for capitalizing on the growing internet creative elements demonstrated by Dr. Horrible's recent and continued success. We want to show Fox they can make money by bringing the Buffyverse back to live action and we're going to show them how. So this means concrete evidence of financial success and examples of Buffy in the media put together in a proposal that is signed by as many Buffy fans as we can get a hold of. Once we have a petition signed and growing interest, we take this movement to the media outlets to get wider coverage. We are RESURRECTING the Buffyverse to live action. And we're thinking the most ideal and viable medium is ANIMATION, either broadcast or as webisodes and then later released on DVD.Areas we want to stir up interest in:

1) Buffy feature film.

2) Buffy The Animated Series brought back into production

3) Buffy Season 8 Animated

4) Spike movie or a Faith movie. Remember the talk about a Spike movie or a Faith tv show, well imagine if it were animated and James Marsters or Eliza Dushku returned to voice the character.

5) Fray Animated Series.So Buffy "Super fans" as Joss calls us, we need to unite and start to organize this petition.

We need help collecting the research to write up this petition, make it a convincing business proposal to Fox backed by thousands of Buffy super fans yelling "We Want MORE".
